Dr. K S Somasekhar Rao is a renowned Medical Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist from Hyderabad with specialty in Hepatitis, Pancreatitis, Biliary diseases, Colon problems and Gastric problems.

Dr. Rao is an MBBS graduate from Andhra Medical College (Visakhapatnam) with a MD (General Medicine) and DM (Med Gastroenterology) qualification from MR Medical College (Gulbarga, Karnataka) and Sri Rama Chandra Medical College (Chennai) respectively. He possesses exceptional skills in a wide spectrum of endoscopic techniques including ERCP, Colonoscopy and Upper Endoscopy with a tally of over 5000 procedures successfully executed till date. He is presently attached to Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad where he is instrumental in providing leading edge care to people with disorders of the digestive system, liver, pancreas and the biliary tree through a combination of advanced subspecialty expertise coupled with cutting edge technology and emphasis on high quality standards.

Apart from this, Dr. Rao also holds a background in medical education.
